Cook up some restaurant-worthy seafood dishes with our bag of frozen Canadian mussels in the shell. Farm-raised in Newfoundland, our mussels are blanched and frozen in their natural juices. Serving options are near-endless, and preparation only takes between 6 and 14 minutes!
Our precooked frozen mussels can be prepared in two ways. The fastest option is to perforate the bag and put it in the microwave for 6 minutes. Alternatively, you can boil the bag (without piercing it) for 5 to 7 minutes, then remove the thawed blue mussels and simmer them for 6 to 14 minutes in your favourite sauce (mussels marinara, mussels in white wine, curry, garlic and herbs, etc.).
Serve with a garden salad or gourmet fries, and you're done!
Does freezing mussels compromise quality?
Our quick freezing technology preserves the freshness of the seafood while retaining all the flavours and nutrients. These mussels have been pre-cleaned and cooked, so all you have to do is add them to your sauces, soups, and casseroles.
Product is fully cooked.
Microwave: Puncture the bag. Microwave for 6 minutes.
Boil: Boil in bag for 5‐7 minutes. Do not puncture.
Simmer: Remove from bag. Simmer for 6‐14 minutes in your favourite sauce.
