    • 1 pizza dough
    • Homestyle Gourmet Fries
    • 1 cup pizza sauce
    • Shredded mozzarella cheese
    • Sliced pepperoni (or toppings of your choice)
    • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
    • 1 tbsp olive or avocado oil
    • Salt and origano

  • Preparation

    1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
    2. Place the fries on a baking sheet and bake for 5 to 7 minutes to give them a head start.
    3. Roll out the pizza dough and cut circles using a glass.
    4. Place a small amount of sauce, mozzarella and pepperoni in the centre of one circle.
    5. Cover with a second circle and seal the edges with a fork.
    6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
    7. Return to the oven with the fries and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the pizza pockets are golden.
    8. Remove from the oven and drizzle lightly with oil. Add a pinch of salt and oregano if desired.
