    • 1 onion, thinly sliced
    • Butter or duck fat
    • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
    • 1 lb (450g) of ground beef
    • Corn kernels (canned or frozen)
    • Poutine sauce
    • Cheese curds

  • Preparation

    1. Sauté the sliced onions in butter or duck fat until golden brown.
    2. Add a drizzle of maple syrup to slightly caramelize the onions.
    3. Incorporate the ground beef into the onions and cook until well browned.
    4. Add the corn kernels, mix thoroughly, and set aside.
    5. Heat the poutine sauce according to the product instructions.
    6. Bake the duck fat fries in the oven or air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes, or until crispy.
    7. To assemble, place the fries on a plate, add the beef-onion-corn mixture, sprinkle with cheese curds, and top with hot poutine sauce.
