- 1 round of Cool&Simple all-butter shortcrust pastry
- 1 star-shaped cookie cutter (or any shape you prefer)
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 125 mL (½ cup) strawberry or raspberry jam
- Icing sugar, for dusting

Preparation
- Thaw the shortcrust pastry according to the package instructions.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Unroll the pastry, keeping it on its parchment paper.
- Using the cookie cutter, cut out shapes from the pastry.
- Gather the leftover pastry into a ball, roll it out with a rolling pin, and cut additional shapes.
- On half of the shapes, use a small knife to cut out a small circle or any design of your choice in the center.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet.
- Lightly beat the egg and brush it over the cookies.
- Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool to room temperature.
- Spoon a small amount of jam onto the center of each whole cookie and top with a cut-out cookie to form a sandwich.
- Dust the cookies with icing sugar and enjoy!
